Hyundai has launched a special version of the new Palisade in Korea called the Highroof, which stands out due to its raised roof compared to the standard model.

This change gives the SUV more interior space, although it compromises the look with a protruding roof section. The goal is to appeal to customers who prioritize comfort and space, even if it means a less aerodynamic design and potentially higher fuel consumption.

This kind of modification isn’t new for Hyundai, which has previously offered similar high-roof versions on other vehicles like the Staria Lounge Limousine and the Kia Carnival Hi-Limousine, both minivans. The difference now is that the Palisade is based on an SUV, making this version even more unique. The Highroof is 23.6 cm taller than the standard model, keeping the same length and featuring exclusive 20-inch wheels.

Although the vehicle shown at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show is still a prototype and not accessible to the public, some interior details were visible, such as a retractable ceiling screen for rear passengers, heated and cooled cup holders, and a wireless charger.

The final version is expected to feature a more luxurious configuration, with either four or six seats.
